New Young Pony Club are proud to announce that ‘Lost a Girl’ will be the first release from their new album which is due out Feb 2010. You can hear a taste of it on their official site right now. It will then be available as a free download from 14th December.
Lyrebirds release their debut single on November 30th through Chess Club Records. Entitled ‘Closer’ and produced by Stephen Street, its an atmospheric blast of anthemic rock music that singles them out as Ones to Watch in 2010. In support of the single release, the band will be playing a series of shows around the country, beginning tomorrow. The dates are:

12 Nov – Nottingham, Bodega
13 Nov – Manchester, Ruby Lounge
14 Nov – Leeds, Cockpit III
30 Nov – London, The Flowerpot

The Script have just started a month long tour of America, playing with David Cook. Full details of the run of shows can be found at The Script’s official website.
The tour finishes on December 6th, when the band will head into the studio to begin work on new material.
The Horrors have been nominated for this year’s Barclay Card Mercury Music Prize. The band’s album ‘Primary Colours’ was chosen as one of the best twelve albums of the last year by the prize’s panel of judges.
The winners of the competition will be announced on September 8th.
The Script begin a four day residency at Shepherd’s Bush Empire tomorrow evening. The band play the legendary venue on the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th of June. All shows are sold out.
